Who we are
Yaqu Pacha Uruguay is a branch of the Organization for the Conservation of Aquatic Mammals in South America — Yaqu Pacha e.V. — based in Germany. We research and conserve threatened aquatic mammal species in the region, and work on coastal environmental education with the tonina as a sentinel species of the Uruguayan coast.
What we do

The project that has studied toninas in La Paloma, Cabo Polonio and Cerro Verde since 2002, and works on environmental education with coastal communities in Rocha.
